Maria Damanaki is an attorney at law of the Greek Supreme Court (member of Heraklion Bar Association). She holds a Master of Science in Bioethics from the University of Crete and is currently a postgraduate student at School of Medicine (UοC). She is a regular member of the Naturalisation Committee of Crete (Ministry of Interior), as a representative of the National Commission for Human Rights, and a member of the Research Ethics Committee of the Hellenic Center for Marine Research.
